In the poem "passageways" the poet is curious about who created a beautiful scenery that he was seeing."Who set, between those rocks like cinder,/to show the honey of dream,/that golden broom,/those blue rosemaries?" In this stanza, he asks who set the rocks in their position, however, what he really he trying to regconize is the creator or the person that took the time out to indicate every little detail such as a particular position to display the reflection of the sun on the golden colored rocks. "Who painted the purple mountains/and the saffron, sunset sky?/The hermitage, the beehives,/the cleft of the river." This quote simply adds on to that idea of the effort, detail, and artistic skill that the creator has used in his creation. In which the poet could be inferring that the creator is God. He states again who designed the hermitages, the beehives, and the cleft on the river which symbolizes the prudence taken into account by the creator. The poet describes the ocean as the "endless rolling water" that cover the rocks, the fresh new fields t. fields, even the white and pink leaves on the almond trees.Which goes to show the admiration of the poet through the color and beauty that he sees in nature.
